If you’re wondering about the name, it’s because I have an unreasonable fascination with phasmids, stick insects, for the less evolved. The word phasmid comes from Phasmatodea, the scientific name for them. Why do I love them? Because they’re absolute masters of adaptation. Some grow huge, some fit in the palm of your hand, and they can even regenerate lost limbs. Pretty cool, right? But what does that have to do with mixing music? Not much, but keep reading anyways.

Just like phasmids seamlessly blend into their environment, a great mix should do the same, with every instrument and vocal sitting perfectly in the track without overpowering anything else. The goal is balance. A killer mix shouldn’t feel like a collection of separate elements but rather a single, cohesive experience that hits you right in the chest. I "specialize" in mixing and mastering for pop punk and modern metal, two genres that demand raw energy, clarity, and punch. Every song needs that grit that makes it feel alive, and the right mix can take a track from good to unforgettable.
